Mother Teresa caricature
Another caricature in that rougher style. Another attempt at making quick caricatures.
But 'working fast' is usually not my main priority. I'm only really happy with something when I can fully support it. And for that I usually have to work a little longer on a project... which I sometimes regret.
Mother Teresa did great things there in Calcutta... she certainly won the Nobel Peace Prize for a reason...
But it was mainly her very distinctive features that stimulated and inspired me to make this caricature.
This is my original pencil sketch. Soft pencil on paper, enlarged with the copier...
Scanned with the 3-in-one home copier. And colored with paint.net on my PC.
Then looking for something more unique, something more playful...
i.e. playing around with some layers in paint.net until something I like comes out...
These seemed nice enough to me to keep...
As an experiment I thought it was successful. It certainly has pluses. But still...
not really my favorite result... there are styles that suit me better, as I mentioned in my introduction.
